Asbestos

Asbestos is the name given to a family of naturally found minerals admired for its soft and pliant properties, as well as its ability to withstand heat. The most common type of asbestos seen in our inspections is Chrysotile, making up 85%-90% of all asbestos encountered. Chrysotile is white in color and commonly found in both construction and textile industries because it is easily woven. Other typically found variations include Amosite, a brown fiber with high water resistance and Crocidolite, a blue fiber with high chemical resistance.
