Internships for Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering and Construction Management

The Hill Group’s goal is to allow the Intern the ability to work in an environment that allows the individual to understand mechanical construction.

In this supportive role to the Senior Project Engineer (SPE) and/or Project Engineer (PE), the individual will be provided a solid learning experience coupled with hands-on training that will allow for growth during the time at the Hill Group.

Part of the training will include:

  • Support SPE/PE
  • HVACR/Plumbing Estimation
  • HVACR / Plumbing Construction Proposals
  • Purchase of Equipment and Materials
  • Scheduling of Individual Project
  • Construction Safety
  • Coordination of Labor and Deliveries
  • Organization of Individual Project
  • Prepare Closeout Documentation

At the end of a successful Internship, the Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer and the individual will be working as a team.

The Hill Group offers full-time internships during the Summer and Winter months.

The Hill Group also offers a Cooperative Education program. The Co-Op program is a planned progressive educational program that provides for the integration of a student's academic studies and relative work experience in a professional environment. In order for the program to be successful, there must be a clear understanding of the individual’s role within the firm as well as the individual’s firm commitment to the program.
